Guide & Best Practices for Facebook Comments Growth Tool

Guide & Best Practices for Facebook Comments Growth Tool

The Facebook Comments Growth Tool increases engagement on your Facebook page by sending predefined, automatic responses via Messenger to comments left by users on your FB posts. You can utilize this tool in several ways, including as a means of responding to customer support inquiries; sharing discount coupons for specific items; data collection/analytics.

How to Use the Comments Growth Tool: Basics

1. Log in to the Tictuk dashboard and make sure you're at the MAIN ORG store.
2. Click the Comments Growth Tool tab (found in the Marketing Tools section).

How to Use the Comments Growth Tool: Tags Activation

Tags represent the 'trigger' (i.e. the actual word/words) that, when used in a comment, prompt the predefined, automatic response you will set for it.

Allow Comments Responses - If this box (a) is checked, the Comments Growth Tool will be enabled; if it is unchecked it remains disabled.

Available Tags - As mentioned earlier, tags represent the 'trigger' that need to be used in a comment in order to send the automated reply you will set for it in the Tags Respond Text section (see below). By clicking the '+' button (b), you can choose from of a pre-set list. Any 'trigger' word/words you select in this box will be the ones used in the tool.

Once you have selected your tags, scroll down and complete the relevant fields in the Tags Response Text section.

How to Use the Comments Growth Tool: Tags Response Text

Each of the pre-set Tags comes with a default text (maximum 256 characters); either leave the text as it is or if you make any changes, don't forget to save.

Default Answer - Any text added to this section (a) will be sent to ALL comments submitted to your page that don't correspond to one of your Tags. Leaving the box black means that only comments MATCHING one of the tags you selected earlier will be answered.

Customized Tags Texts (Payments, Delivery Time, Menu Prices, etc) - In this section (b), beneath each pre-set tag is a customizable text box where you can write the exact message you wish to be sent.

For example, as per the screenshot above, if a user/customer commenting on a post uses the word 'Payments', they will receive the following message via FB Messenger: “We accept card and cash payments for Pick-Up and Car-Drop and card payments ONLY for Delivery.”

How to Use the Comments Growth Tool: Custom Tags

Rather than simply using the pre-set Tags discussed above, you also have the option to create your own.

In the screenshot above you can see examples of how to configure your custom Tags; let's take a closer look at Custom Tag 1:

Words for Custom Tag 1 - The word 'delivery' has been entered.

Response for Custom Tag 1 - If a user/customer types the word delivery when commenting on a FB post, they will receive this message via FB Messenger:

"To order KFC using our Chat Order, send us a message in our inbox and Chat Order will help you place your order."

TIP: To have SEVERAL words trigger the SAME message, simply separate the words using a comma and no spaces i.e. 'funny, funnier, funniest, hilarious'.

Click on + Add a Tag at the bottom of the page in order to add your own customizable Tag:

How to Use the Comments Growth Tool: Discard/Saving Changes

Once you've finished configuring the Comments Growth Tool, don't forget to either 'Save All Changes' or 'Discard All Changes' to delete any of the changes you've made and return the tool to its default settings.

Comments Growth Tool: Tips & Best Practices

1. Ensure the creative is engaging and visually appealing. Avoid using pricing or having it appear like an ad; the Facebook algorith can limit your reach if your content comes across too 'salesy'.
2. Use a hook or ask followers to comment on something definitive. For example: 'How do you like your chicken: original or spicy?' or 'Where was the first ever Pizza Hut store established?'
3. Offer an incentive, such as a coupon or discount, to encourage followers to comment on your post.
4. Choose a topic that's relevant and relatable to help increase the number of comments.
5. Use a clear call-to-action!
